The heart of Wests Illawarra is the loyalty of our valued Members. We are shining a spotlight on the incredible individuals who have been an integral part of shaping the vibrant spirit that defines our Club.

Lloyd and Elaine, our cherished members for over 40 years, are like family to us. Their unwavering commitment and regular visits, averaging 3-4 times a week, reflect their deep connection to Wests Illawarra. As Lloyd beautifully puts it, “It is like a marriage to the club. It seems to be a very central part of our life.”

Fay, a member for 25 years, finds joy and comfort in the Wests Illawarra community. “West makes me feel like I’m actually a part of the club, part of their family I suppose. I know that I’m comfortable here, and that I am safe,” she shares. Her 25-year journey with us is a testament to the inclusivity and warmth that defines our club.

Adrian, with his remarkable 40-year membership, has witnessed Wests Illawarra’s evolution firsthand. As the Club grew, so did his love and appreciation for it. For Adrian, Wests Illawarra is not just a place, but a community of friends and cherished memories. “I like coming here because of the people. Wests is like the home away from home,” he says.

Rod has been a member for an incredible 47 years. Following in his parents’ footsteps, who also worked here, Rod became a member on his 18^th birthday. He fondly remembers the welcoming atmosphere that greeted him from day one. Today, he proudly ensures his children are also part of our community.

At Wests Illawarra, we reward our Members in return for their loyalty and support. In the last financial year alone, we paid out just under half a million dollars to Members through raffles, promotions and points.
